MAKURDI: Hon Mrs Lami Danladi, Deputy Speaker, Benue State House of Assembly (BNHA), has affirmed her commitment to run a people-centered campaign as well as ensure legislative excellence by initiating quality bills and motions.
Daladi, member representing Ado State Constituency at the State Assembly, disclosed this after receiving the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Nomination Form, presented to her by the State Governor, Hyacinth Alia.
The exercise signifies the affirmation of her ticket to contest for the Benue State House of Assembly for the 2027 general elections.
While thanking the leadership, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, as well as her constituents, for the gesture, the lawmaker pledged that her initiatives in the Assembly would directly improve the lives of her constituents.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Wednesday, Danladi, who also thanked the leadership and members of the APC in her constituency, promised to continue to enhance healthcare and social welfare of her constituents by ensuring access to quality healthcare for every household.
She further pledged to give more attention to education and youth empowerment through creation of more opportunities for skills acquisition and job creation.
Describing the affirmation as both an honor and a call to greater service, Danladi said, “I am profoundly grateful to our visionary and people-oriented Governor, His Excellency Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, our indefatigable APC leaders, loyal party members, and my beloved constituents for the trust, love, and overwhelming support to fly the party’s flag in Ado Constituency, again.
“Ado State Constituency is not about me alone. It is about us. It is about the work of God through the people. This ticket is a confirmation that our people desire purposeful representation, grassroots development, and a voice that will speak boldly for them at the hallowed chambers of the Benue State House of Assembly.
“I will ensure legislative excellence by initiating quality bills and motions that will directly improve the lives of the people of the State.
“I promise to be a representative who listens first, in my usual way of interacting with my people, and continually act in the interest of the people at all times. Together, we will build an Ado State Constituency that works for everyone,” she assured
The Deputy Speaker noted that the journey to this point has been one of collective sacrifice, unity, and commitment to the progress of Ado, Benue, and Nigeria.
Therefore, Danladi called on all APC members and residents of the constituency to remain united, peaceful, and focused as the party moves toward victory in the coming election.
