Best of IFA 2024: TECNO Dynamic 1

TECNO Dynamic 1 IFA 2024 award

This is TECNO’s first attempt at a robot dog, and it’s quite impressive.

TECNO did not announce any new smartphones at IFA, but it did bring over some interesting tech nonetheless. The TECNO Dynamic 1 is a great example and one of the recipients of our ‘Best of IFA 2024’ awards. The TECNO Dynamic 1 is a robot dog. It’s not the first one, but it’s quite interesting. It was present at the show floor, and it did make quite an impression on the visitors.

The TECNO Dynamic 1 has a “cutting-edge biomorphic design”

The company says that this robot dog has a “cutting-edge biomorphic design”. It can be controlled via smartphones, remote controllers, and also via voice commands. There is an 8-core CPU included on the inside, along with the Intel RealSense D430 depth camera module. It also has binocular sensors, and infrared sensors, of course. It has a 45 N.m/kg peak joint torque. In regular terms, that means it can go up and down the stairs, jump, do a handstand, and shake hands too.

TECNO says that this dog offers “realistic features inspired by the German Shepherd”. Yes, as you can guess based on its name, the TECNO Dynamic 1 is the very first robot dog from TECNO. If you take a look at the image provided above, you’ll realize that it very much looks like a robot dog. That is unsurprising, and the design doesn’t look half bad. It is the very first attempt from TECNO at a robot dog, so keep that in mind.

A 15,000mAh battery pack is included

It is worth noting that a 15,000mAh battery is also a part of the package here. We don’t know how much action that provides, as TECNO did not release any specific numbers. What the company did mention, however, is that the ‘AI Hyper Sense Fusion System’ is included, and it makes a huge impact on the actual performance of the TECNO Dynamic 1.

We will likely find out more about the TECNO Dynamic 1 in the near future. TECNO is really expanding its horizons, so it remains to be seen what is the next step. The company is definitely not focused solely on smartphones.
