Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter tour is failing to sell out tickets but according to sources, she is not letting that get her down.
“It’s very upsetting and quite frankly shocking that the tickets are not selling out as fast as they have in the past,” an insider told InTouch Weekly. “Everyone on team Beyoncé is insisting it’s not the dire situation that social media is trying to make it out to be, still it’s very stressful.”
Clips of the tour have been going viral on social media, but unlike her previous tour, this one is struggling to sell out venues.
Cowboy Carter debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, topping the Top Country Albums chart, making Beyoncé the first Black woman ever to do so, with 407,000 equivalent units sold in its first week. Singles like “Texas Hold ’Em” notched No. 1 on the Hot Country Songs and Hot 100 charts.
The album nabbed a record-breaking 11 Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year and winning Best Country Album.
“Beyoncé has very high standards and is used to not only selling out but selling out very quickly, so no doubt this is a huge dose of humble pie for her,” the insider added. “She didn’t show any sort of distress or worry on opening night though, she was every bit the superstar and fully in her Sasha Fierce alter ego.”
