A desire to get rich quickly has backfired for Malvin Mukwananzi, a 27-year-old married man in Harare, who claims that a sangoma’s strange prescription has led to his sexual attraction to chickens.
Mukwananzi explained, “This all started when I consulted a sangoma and he gave me some muti to boost my wealth.” After planting a small tree given to him by the sangoma, he developed feelings for chickens, especially when he saw them walking.
He confessed, “I tried ignoring the sexual fantasies but to no avail,” revealing that he eventually engaged in bestiality with the animals.
His estranged wife confirmed the situation, stating, “He is no longer sexually attracted to human beings but animals,” and described the shock of finding him with the chickens.
Neighbors voiced concerns for safety, worrying that “today he might rape animals but the next thing he will do it to our children.” Despite being reprimanded by local authorities, Mukwananzi’s behavior reportedly continued.
