MEDIA personality Toke Makinwa has taken fans and followers by surprise with the announcement that she is expecting her first child, describing the experience as “the biggest project of my life” and “the highest calling ever.”
In a heartfelt Instagram post on August 13, 2025, Makinwa shared a serene video filmed in a lush garden, tenderly cradling her soon-to-arrive baby bump.
Reflecting on her journey, she expressed gratitude to God for granting her prayers in His perfect timing.
“You have completely changed my life. You opened this door that nobody can shut. All that time I was convinced you had forgotten me… but now I see it. You worked on my heart posture to get me ready for the biggest blessing and the highest calling,” she wrote.
The On Becoming author and entrepreneur — whose career has spanned radio, television, and brand influencing — said that of all the roles she has embraced, motherhood stands above them all.
“I’ve worn so many hats over the years but this one trumps it all… You get to see me as a mother, I get to raise my own,” she added.
Addressing her unborn child directly, she penned a touching note:
“My bug, I cannot wait to meet you… Thank you for choosing me to come through life to be the greatest reflection of God’s grace.”
