Nollywood actress Bimpe Akintunde has revealed one of the secrets to a sustainable marriage following her colleague, Ronke Odusanya’s revelation about her failed marriage.

Kemi Filani reported that Ronke in an interview with Bimpe Akintunde, revealed how a friend of hers told her husband that she was promiscuous and had left his house to sleep with a senator with their daughter. She disclosed that when she left her husband’s house, she only had N10,000 in her account and had to go squat with her brother.

Ronke stated that her ex later realized that he shouldn’t have listened to the things he heard back then.

Reacting to it, via her Instagram page, Bimpe states that one of the secrets to a sustainable marriage is shutting one’s ears to all kinds of side talk.

Recall that Ronke Odusanya and her ex-husband were at loggerheads over the paternity of their child. On the 10th of February, 2021, Saheed stood before the Court and requested a DNA test of their daughter to determine her paternity before proceeding. The Court granted the order for a DNA test, but the actress, through her lawyer, gave a condition that Jago would pay the DNA fee.

In February of 2022, in a video shared on his Instagram page, Saheed cleared the air about the paternity of their child, saying he was sorry for requesting a DNA test. Saheed said that their daughter was and expressed so much love for her, adding that what happened in the past made him take action.

Bimpe isn’t the only one who has shared a secret to a happy marriage. Comedian Bovi Ugboma in an interview with media personality VJ Adams, revealed that he was just lucky when it comes to marriage, as he avowed that he believes most marriages have to do with luck before any planning comes into play. The comedian noted how there is no perfect marriage but perfection comes from loving the imperfection.
