Blac Chyna is speaking out about her broken engagement with Derrick Milano and says, despite ending their union, the pair are still the best of friends.
“First of all, it was mutual, and I feel like sometimes in life people try to hold on to certain things, but I’m going in a different direction than Derrick,” she told Entertainment Tonight, adding, “like we’re both doing our own things.”
The pair went public with their romance back in September 2023. Milano proposed to Chyna on October 18, 2024, serenading her with Mario’s “Let Me Love You” in public at Howard University’s Yard Fest. Milano is best known for co-writing mainstream hits, including Megan Thee Stallion and Beyoncé’s “Savage Remix.” He won a Grammy for Best Rap Song at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards for his work.
Chyna says she wants to focus on raising her children, a 12-year-old son, King Cairo, whom she shares with ex-fiancé Tyga, and an 8-year-old daughter, Dream, with whom she shares with ex-fiancé Rob Kardashian.
“Nothing happened. Nobody cheated,” she said, shooting down light rumors circulating online, noting that it was “an ongoing thing—growing in different directions, for sure.”
“We’re really good friends still,” she added. “I’ll still call, ‘Hey you good? Is everything okay?’”
