Jill Scott found herself pulled into unexpected online drama after appearing on In Real Life (IRL) with Angie Martinez.
Speaking to Martinez, the singer opened up about her guilty pleasures as she promotes her upcoming album To Whom This May Concern.
During the conversation, Scott admitted she has been following the turbulent relationship between Blueface and Chrisean Rock.
“I happened to love the drama between Blueface and Chrisean,” Scott said. “I think that that’s a pimp, and I think that she got caught up with her pimp.”
The comment quickly made its way to Blueface’s mother, Karlissa Saffold, who did not hold back in a video response. Calling Scott out by name, Karlissa pushed back on the label.
“A pimp is somebody who lies and leeches off of women,” she said, arguing that her son has instead helped women gain exposure and opportunities.
Karlissa went further, suggesting Scott’s opinion may stem from personal experiences, referencing the singer’s past marriage to Mike Dobson.
This week, Blueface lost another member of his roster after Nevaeh Akira dumped him following his saucy antics with Stunna Girl.
“Let’s detach my name from all bulls–t now. I wish him nothing but the best, just not with each other,” she said via livestream.
