Kodak Black has stirred up old tensions with Boosie BadAzz, and the longtime rivalry is once again spilling into public view.

Yak released a new song titled “Christmas Eve,” where he takes pointed aim at the Louisiana rapper. In the track, Kodak takes aim at Boosie’s legacy and success, rapping that he once admired him but now feels looked down on as his own career and wealth have grown.

The two rappers have been publicly at odds since 2023, when Boosie criticized Kodak for collaborating with 6ix9ine.

The lyrics quickly made their way back to Boosie BadAzz, who responded forcefully on social media the following night. Writing on X, Boosie accused Kodak of timing the diss to coincide with his federal court appearance, calling the song “weak” and suggesting it was an attempt to chase attention.

“You wait until the day before I go to court to drop a diss song,” Boosie wrote, adding, “It’s still not going to get people to mess with your music.”

Boosie went on to question Kodak’s relevance and accused him of holding onto old grudges. “You still mad,” he added, insisting his faith would carry him through the situation and signing off with “God got me.”
