Arsenal’s new signing, Mikel Merino has suffered an injury blow, the English premier league side coach, Mikel Arteta has revealed.
NaijaOnPoint.com.ng (NOP) gathers Merino sustained the injury during a training session when his teammate Gabriel Magalhaes landed on top of him.
According to coach Arteta, it is a shoulder injury, which will see the new Arsenal signing benched for weeks.
“He has a shoulder injury and it looks like he will be out for a few weeks.
“He landed on the floor and Gabi landed on top of him, it’s a fracture probably, he’s been really unfortunate,” the Arsenal manager was quoted to have said.
Recall Arsenal signed Merino this August and had barely played a game for the Gunners before sustaining the injury.
Arsenal play Brighton next on Saturday.
