IGP Egbetokun has deployed new police commissioners across states.

 

NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has approved the deployment of Commissioners of Police to various state commands and formations across Nigeria.

 

This was disclosed in a statement released on Saturday by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi. The IGP said the move is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen internal security and combat criminal activities nationwide.

 

The statement noted that the deployment takes immediate effect and aligns with the IGP’s strategic vision to enhance professional leadership and boost the operational performance of the Nigeria Police Force.

 

 

IGP Egbetokun urged the newly deployed Commissioners to exhibit professionalism, uphold ethical standards, and ensure the safety of lives and property in their respective jurisdictions. He emphasized the importance of strong leadership in tackling insecurity and restoring public confidence in the police.

 

“The IGP has charged the senior officers to lead with integrity and professionalism to rid their commands of criminal elements threatening national security,” the statement read.

 

He also appealed to the public to continue supporting and cooperating with the police in the collective fight against crime.

CP Bello Rasheed Afegbua – Cross River State Command
CP Dahiru Mohammed – Jigawa State Command
CP Adebowale Lawal – Ondo State Command
CP Ibrahim Gotan – Osun State Command
CP Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo – Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters
CP Olusegun Eyitayo Omosayin – FCID Annex, Gombe State (CP General Investigation)
