The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declined a request to recognise the national working committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Kabiru Turaki.
The electoral body said its decision was based on several court judgements.
The Turaki-led faction of the party has the backing of Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo and Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi.
