Peter Obi, former presidential candidate, has officially moved to the coalition-backed African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Obi, former Anambra governor, announced the decision on Tuesday during an event held at the Nike Lake Resort in Enugu.
Obi told supporters that the decision marks the beginning of a political push aimed at rebuilding hope ahead of the next general election.
“We are ending this year with the hope that in 2026 we will begin a rescue journey,” Obi said.
Obi further declared that he would oppose electoral manipulation in the forthcoming polls.
“We will resist rigging of election by every lawful means in 2027,” he added.
David Mark, national chairman of the ADC, was present at the event alongside other key political figures.
