The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has suspended the planned enforcement of the tinted glass permit policy in obedience to a subsisting court order.
The policy was initially slated to take effect from January 2, 2026.
Benjamin Hundeyin, force spokesperson, said in a statement issued on Thursday that implementation has been put on hold.
He explained that the suspension will remain until the court hears and determines the substantive suit or lifts the existing order.
The police said further details on the matter would be communicated in due course.
