The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has temporarily shut down its result checker portal, citing technical issues.
The development comes barely 48 hours after the release of the 2025 May/June WASSCE results.
In a brief notice issued Wednesday evening, WAEC attributed the disruption to system-related challenges and assured the public that its technical team is working to restore access within 24 hours.
This disruption follows the release of the 2025 results, which showed a significant decline in performance.
Only 38 percent of candidates obtained five credits, including English Language and Mathematics, the minimum requirement for tertiary admission.
