Brooke Mueller says her ex-husband, Charlie Sheen, owes her more than 15 million dollars in unpaid child support for their twin sons.
In new court filings, Mueller alleges that Sheen has failed to pay roughly $15.3 million, which includes nearly $9 million in support and more than $6.4 million in interest. She is asking the court to order full payment within 30 days.
Mueller says Sheen was directed to pay $ 55,000 per month beginning in 2010, and that payments stopped arriving in full by mid-2011. According to the documents, she claims he either sent partial payments or none at all. She is also seeking $ 25,000 in attorney’s fees.
The legal dispute comes months after Mueller spoke about her sobriety and her long and complicated history with Sheen. Despite the tension, she said he has often been the first person she calls when she needs help. Sheen previously said their sons appreciate his sobriety and understand the challenges their mother faces.
The former couple, who divorced in 2011, share legal custody of their twins. Court records note that the boys’ primary residence remains with Sheen.
