Buhari Sympathizes With Africa’s Richest Man, Dangote Over Brother’s Death

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with the richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote over the death of his younger brother and Vice President of the Dangote Group, Sani Dangote.

Sani Dangote, the Deputy Chairman of the African Gum Arabic Producers Association and a two-time President of the Lagos Polo Club, died on Sunday, November 14 at a US hospital where he was receiving cancer treatment.

He was a member of various Chambers of Commerce, a Fellow of the Nigerian Chartered Institute of Shipping, and the President of the Fertiliser Producers and Suppliers Association (FERSAN).

Dansa Foods Limited, Dansa Energy, Sagas Energy Limited, Bulk Pack Services Limited, Dansa Agro Allied Limited, and Dangote Farms Limited are among his other businesses.

In a brief statement, the news of his demise was announced by the Dangote Group on Sunday night. It reads;

 “INNA LILLAHI WA INNA ILAIHI RAJIUN!It is with a heavy heart but with total submission to Almighty Allah that we announce the passing on of our Group Vice President, Alhaji Sani Dangote today 14th November, 2021.

“May Allah SWT Grant him mercy and Admit him in Aljannat-al-Firdaus “!

Reacting to the news, the spokesman of President Buhari, Mr Femi Adesina wrote a short statement that eulogised the life of the late businessman.

The statement reads: The President joins the family in mourning the industrious son, who over the years played a key role in the success of the family business, dedicating his time to ensure fairness and optimum result in all endeavours.

Reputed for his gentleness, loyalty and generosity, the President urges approximation of his wonderful deeds on earth, praying that the Almighty God will grant him eternal rest.
