Voting has commenced across polling units in Kajuru and Chikun Local Government areas of Kaduna for Saturday’s by-election for the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency by-election.

Voting has commenced across polling units in Kajuru and Chikun Local Government areas of Kaduna for Saturday’s by-election for the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency by-election.
Recall that the seat became vacant following the death of the former member, Ekene Adams (LP), who represented the zone, who died in July,2024.
Checks by NAN revealed that voting commenced around 10:45 am at respective units visited after accreditation by INEC officials in company of security agents.
At the Day Secondary School, Narayi and Government Secondary School, Sabon Tasha, in Chikun Local Government, voters conducted themselves orderly while participating in the exercise.
Mr Alex Aloh, an INEC ad hoc staff told NAN at Narayi that he was confident that the exercise would be hitch-free considering the manner with which the voters turned out and conducted themselves
Mrs Tina Mathew, a resident of Sabo on her part, commended INEC officials for the smooth take off of the exercise.
NAN reports that alpolling units visited had presence of security agents including civil society organisations on ground monitoring the exercise. (NAN)
