THE Confederation of African Football (CAF) has shifted the start date for the sale of 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tickets.

The continental ruling body announced the decision just three months to the kick-off of the tournament.

The competition, the biggest on the continent, is scheduled for December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026 across six cities in Morocco.

“The Confederation Africaine de Football (“CAF”) has delayed the opening of the first phase of the ticket sales for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 to finalize important details that will ensure the best possible experience for fans,” the body said in an official statement today.

“CAF is working with the Local Organizing Committee (“LOC”) and various stakeholders and will announce a new date for the first phase of the ticket sales in due course.

“CAF apologizes for any inconvenience caused.”

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are one of 24 teams set to feature at the tournament.

The three-time African champions, who were runners-up at the last edition in Cote d’Ivoire in 2024, are in Group C with Tunisia, Uganda and Tanzania.
