Anna Mariana, the wife of Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro, has come to the rescue of her husband by posting pictures of the trophies the Brazilian has won so far in his career.

Since Sunday, September 1, Casemiro has been subjected to different degrees of criticism by pundits and some United fans for his poor performance in Manchester United’s embarrassing 3-0 home loss to Liverpool.

Casemiro, who made two errors that led to two goals, was substituted at half-time for 20-year-old Toby Collyer, and reports claimed that he left Old Trafford at the break, but United boss Erik ten Hag dismissed this claim.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher criticized Casemiro on Sky Sports, saying: “It is a sad sight seeing what he’s going through out there.” Additionally, former Manchester United full-back Gary Neville noted that Casemiro appeared to have lost his confidence.

In his defence, Casemiro’s wife took to her Instagram story to post a picture showcasing her husband’s numerous silverware, emphasizing his five Champions League victories, three La Liga titles with Real Madrid, and most recently, the FA Cup win with Manchester United.

She also posted a picture of the 32-year-old Brazilian midfielder celebrating with his teammates which she captioned, “Always strong Casemiro, the biggest”, with a flaming heart emoji.

Also, United’s coach, Ten Hag, came to the defence of Casemiro after the game, saying, “I think that in football, everyone has to take responsibility. I’m sure he is a great character and he won everything in his career that you can imagine. I am sure he will keep contributing to our team, and Casemiro is always winning, so he will be there.”
