New Delhi: India’s Nikhat Zareen created history on Sunday. Nikhat has won the title of world champion by winning the 50 kg weight category title match in the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championship. This is Nikhat’s second consecutive gold medal in the World Championship. Earlier, he had also won the final of the World Championship last year. With this, Nikhat has created history and she has followed the path on which her idol legendary boxer Mary Kom walked. Nikhat is the second Indian to win two gold medals in the World Championships. Before her only Mary Kom has done this work. Mary Kom has won a total of six gold medals in the World Championships.

Nikhat won the title by defeating Asian champion Vietnam’s Ti Tam in the match played at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in the national capital on Sunday. Mary Kom is Nikhat’s ideal like many women boxers of the country, but Nikhat had opened a front against her own ideal player.
