Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis has become a target for several European clubs as the January transfer window gathers momentum, Soccernet.football reports.

Reports from Sky Sports UK suggest that three Championship sides, along with clubs in La Liga and Serie A, are closely monitoring the Nigeria international.

Dennis, who has fallen out of favour at Forest, could be on the move as he seeks regular first-team football.

The 27-year-old was deemed surplus to requirements by Nottingham Forest at the start of the 2024–2025 season. Despite being available for transfer during the summer window, he remained at the City Ground but has since been excluded from Forest’s Premier League squad.

Additionally, he has not featured in their FA Cup or Carabao Cup squads, confirming his outcast status under manager Nuno Espírito Santo.

Dennis currently sits behind Chris Wood, Taiwo Awoniyi, Anthony Elanga, and Callum Hudson-Odoi in the pecking order of forwards.

This lack of opportunities is a significant downturn for the player who arrived at Forest in August 2022 for a reported €15 million. His debut season was disappointing, with just two goals in 25 appearances across all competitions.

The Nigerian international’s struggles at Forest prompted a loan move to İstanbul Başakşehir during the 2023–2024 campaign. However, that stint ended prematurely, and he returned to Watford for the latter half of the season.

With only a year left on his contract at the end of the current campaign, Forest are open to both loan and permanent transfer offers for Dennis in January.
