Chappell Roan Says ‘F*ck ICE Forever’… DHS Claps Back

Chappell Roan

Pop star Chappell Roan made waves during her recent Pasadena show, speaking out against ICE raids.

The singer, known for her LGBTQ+ anthems, used the moment to reject the current political climate in Los Angeles.

“I’m always uncomfortable myself in LA gigs,” Roan told the crowd.

“I don’t know, I just don’t want to have that strange sense of professionalism about here,” she added.

“L.A. is my favorite city in the world, to be honest … In my opinion, Los Angeles is the best city in the world,” she informed the crowd. “I’ve been living here for nine years, I’m originally from Missouri and I had a really, really tough time the first five years.”

“I loved LA more than everything when I saw how the community came together in Altadena to help and seeing with the Palisades.. and I just realized that I’m so lucky to be able to live here and play here and this city has taken care of me and it’s only my duty to take care of it back so I just wanna thank you, and that—I don’t know, f–k ICE forever. F–k ICE, yeah.”

The singer then led a chant of “F*ck ICE” with the arena, and the clip made its way to the Department of Homeland Security.

In response, DHS assistant secretary for public affairs Tricia McLaughlin told TMZ, “‘Pink Pony Club’ is good. P*dophiles are bad. That’s who we’re getting off our streets. Get a grip.”
