Veteran entertainer Charlie Boy has reacted to the online back-and-forth between Regina Daniels and her husband, Ned Nwoko, without mincing words.
In a video that has been circulating, Charlie Boy noted that while Nigerians might be entertained by the drama, the situation itself is far from humorous. He emphasised that marriage requires hard work and management, even when there is just one wife.
Drawing from his own experience, he mentioned being married for 45 years to the same woman and acknowledged that it has not been easy. Therefore, he believes that having more than one wife brings “double wahala on top wahala,” meaning double trouble on top of trouble.
Charlie Boy addressed Ned directly, stating that while he may have wealth and a younger wife, money does not equate to wisdom. He pointed out that wisdom cannot be bought and that some decisions require maturity rather than just financial resources.
He further stated that airing private family issues on the internet only allows strangers to laugh and watch from the sidelines. He cautioned that not everything should be shared on social media, particularly matters involving children and marriage. Once the public becomes involved in family affairs, controlling the narrative becomes significantly more difficult.
Charlie Boy’s final message to the couple was clear: “Keep your dirty laundry and personal matters at home. Stop airing family issues on the internet.”
