Nigerian defender Chibuike Nwaiwu has been linked with many clubs in Europe, following his impressive performances for Wolfsberger, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 22-year-old defender joined Wolfsberger from Enyimba in September 2024, and he has developed significantly.
He has featured in 45 games so far, recording five goals and one assist in those appearances for the Austrian club.
Nwaiwu has been one of the most impressive players in the Austrian top-flight since last year. He was key to Wolfsberger’s OFB Cup win last season.

His impressive performances have seen him linked with clubs in the top five European leagues, including PSG, Bayer Leverkusen, Lens, Leeds United, and many others. However, it is unlikely that he will make a switch anytime soon.
Chibuike Nwaiwu to Remain at Wolfsberger

According to Footy Africa, Chibuike Nwaiwu is on the radar of several clubs in the top five European leagues. However, the Austrian club is determined to keep him until next summer at least.
Wolfsberger will not listen to any offers for the 22-year-old during the January transfer window, as they view him as an important member of the squad.
They can afford to take this stance because the former Enyimba and Heartland man still has around two years left on his contract.
By next summer, he will have just one year left on his current deal. He is valued at €7 million on Transfermarkt, which is a very good price for most of the clubs he has been linked to.
If he continues to impress at Wolfsberger, he will likely secure a move to a top club next summer.
