Chris Brown was granted bail by a London court on Wednesday, meaning that he would be able to go on the European leg of his world tour.

Breezy faces a charge of grievous bodily harm after allegedly assaulting music producer Abraham Diaw with a tequila bottle during what prosecutors called an “unprovoked attack” at a London nightclub in 2023.

Brown was not present in the courtroom hearing at Southwark Crown Court for the hearing, but Judge Tony Baumgartner approved his bail, ordering the star to put up £4 million (around $5.4 million) up front, with another £1 million (around $1.3 million) due to be paid within a week.

The star must also hand over his passport, but he is allowed to travel for tour-related commitments. The “Breezy Bowl XX” tour kicks off on June 8 in the Netherlands.

Diaw claims Brown assaulted him at a London nightclub on February 19, 2023. According to Diaw, Brown repeatedly struck him with a bottle, kicked him, and delivered multiple blows.

He further alleges that Brown “brutally assaulted” him by hitting him over the head with a large bottle of Don Julio tequila. Diaw says the attack continued even after he lost consciousness, with Brown allegedly stomping on him for about 30 seconds.

Diaw reports sustaining several long-term injuries. If convicted, Brown could face up to 16 years in prison.
