Young Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche delivered a sensational all-round performance as Getafe cruised to a dominant 4-0 win over Real Valladolid in La Liga on Sunday, Soccernet.ng reports.

Uche, just 21, registered two assists and was heavily involved in the third goal as Getafe produced a clinical first-half display to blow away their opponents.

A standout throughout the season, Uche again showed why he’s one of Europe’s most exciting young midfielders. He has now recorded three goals and five assists in 28 league appearances this term — his debut season in Spain’s top flight.

And against Valladolid, all facets of his game were on show.

The Super Eagles prospect made an immediate impact, delivering a clever headed assist inside the opening minute for Mauro Arambarri to nod home the opener before many fans had taken their seats.

In the 19th minute, Uche worked his magic again. Trapped between two markers, he spotted Ramon Terrats making a forward run and slipped a perfectly weighted pass into his path. Terrats made no mistake, rifling in the second.

Just before the interval, Uche was at it once more. Holding off defenders, he produced a delicate backheel to release Juan Bernat, who darted to the byline and squared for Terrats to tap in his second of the match.

Getafe’s total dominance was further underlined when Valladolid’s Mario Martín was shown a red card in first-half stoppage time.

Uche was substituted in the 62nd minute with the job already done. Domingos Duarte added a fourth for the visitors in the 80th minute.

Despite not completing the match, Uche earned an impressive 8.0 rating from SofaScore, making him the third-highest rated player on the pitch — only behind teammates Terrats (9.0) and Duarte (8.1).

Beyond the assists, Uche created two big chances, completed two key passes, won three tackles, six duels, and even saw one shot blocked and another go wide.

The Abia-born talent had been named in Nigeria’s provisional squad for the March World Cup qualifiers but narrowly missed out on a final spot. With performances like this, it won’t be long before the Super Eagles come calling again.

Getafe next host Las Palmas at the Coliseum next weekend, and all eyes will be on Uche to deliver yet another star turn.
