The United States of America’s House of Representatives has affirmed President Donald Trump’s assertion that the world has been nonchalant over alleged cases of Christian genocide in Nigeria.

The US House Committee on Foreign Affairs on Tuesday, November 19, said innocent Nigerian Christians have been slaughtered for far too long.

In a quoted post responding to the viral livestream video of a terrorist’s attack on CAC Church in Eruku, Kwara State, the committee stated that the reality being faced by Christians in Nigeria must not go unheard.

The House Committee stated on X, “President Trump is right: For far too long, innocent 🇳🇬Nigerian Christians have been slaughtered while the world looks away.

“In fact, just this week, terrorists attacked a church, killing and kidnapping innocent Christians. This is the reality they face in the region,” the House wrote via its official X account.

Also highlighting efforts being made by the US Mission in the United Nations; an American singer and rapper, Nicki Minaj, among others, the Committee added that it would be holding a hearing to deliberate on the ongoing killings in the country.

“These gruesome atrocities must not go unheard.

“The House Foreign Affairs Committee is holding a hearing tomorrow to further bring light to the violent killings,” the committee added.
