On Saturday, Claressa Shields attended a double-header boxing match in New York City with her rapper boyfriend, Papoose, but seemed to be upset that boxing star Edgar Berlanga chose to walk out to Fat Joe and Remu Ma’s popular hit “Lean Back.”
Fat Joe and Remy performed ahead of the fight, and footage surfaced showing the rappers sitting on opposite sides of the ring to Claressa and Pap.

Berlanga lost his bout against Hamzah Sheeraz via knockout.
Things appeared to go smoothly as no drama was reported, but after the event, the boxer hopped on X, formerly Twitter, to take a jab at her man’s former flame and estranged wife.
“I don’t think nobody should walk out to Lean back no more,” she tweeted.
Her tweet sparked some backlash as many accused the athlete of starting unnecessary drama and of insulting Fat Joe.
Claressa Papoose’s relationship became public in late 2024 after Remy Ma accused Papoose of cheating on her, mirroring Pap’s own claims that Remy Ma had been sneaking around with rising battle rapper, Eazy the Blockchain.
Papoose and Remy Ma are still legally married.
