Makinde and Turaki PDP

The factional National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, has commended members of the party across the country who have remained loyal despite the various challenges confronting the party.

He submitted that despite the challenges, the PDP would emerge victorious at the end of the day.

Naijaonpoint reports that Turaki made the submission on Tuesday in Ibadan during the commissioning of the new state secretariat of the PDP, donated by the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.

The Chairman said the various court judgments regarding party affairs are part of the distractions facing the opposition party.

“Commissioning the secretariat, Turaki SAN commended the Governor for the donation and noted that it was qualitatively finished and adequately furnished.

“He called on other Governors to emulate such good gestures towards the party. He expressed appreciation to the party members across the country who have remained loyal to the party despite the unnecessary distractions that have been concomitant with the various court judgments. He assured that the party will emerge stronger from the crisis,” the PDP statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, read.

The statement also quoted Governor Makinde as having assured his continued support for the party and restated his fidelity to the PDP. He expressed his confidence in the current leadership of the party under the chairmanship of Kabiru Turaki.

Naijaonpoint understands the Chairman was accompanied to the event by Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau and other members of the National Working Committee of the party.
