Flyboy I.N.C., the management team for Nigerian singer Kizz Daniel, has rejected reports that a court froze the artiste’s bank accounts and demanded over €200,000 in damages for a missed concert in Berlin in 2022.
Naijaonpoint reports that the report, widely circulated online on Wednesday, alleged that Kizz Daniel had received a $50,000 advance but failed to perform, prompting the legal action.
The singer’s management, in a statement on Thursday, described the reports as false and misleading, stating that the concert promoter, Kejuro Media & Entertainment, was responsible for cancelling the event.
According to Flyboy I.N.C., the promoter did not provide the necessary support outlined in their agreement, such as arranging visas and flights for Kizz Daniel and his team, leading to the event’s cancellation on September 24, 2022.
The management added that the promoter attempted to reschedule the concert to April 8, 2023, without proper discussion or revised agreements.
Kizz Daniel’s team insisted that the singer had agreed to a modest increase in fees for the new date, but the promoter failed to formalize the rescheduled performance.
Other artistes contracted for the event, including Teni and Diamond Plamuniz, also did not perform, and social media accounts associated with the concert have disappeared.
Flyboy I.N.C. said the reports against Kizz Daniel appeared to be an effort to damage his reputation and affect his upcoming European tour.
The management noted that the promoter provided no evidence of a court ruling or proof of the alleged breach and warned that their legal team would handle any defamatory statements.
Kizz Daniel’s team reassured fans that preparations for his Europe tour are ongoing and that the singer remains committed to delivering performances across the continent and beyond.
