‘Crocodile Tears’ – Nigerians Attack Borno Lawmaker Shedding Tears, Begging For 5th Term

A member representing Magumeri Constituency in the Borno State House of Assembly, Hon. Audu Mustapha Ganga, has come under heavy backlash following a viral video of him pleading with his constituents to endorse his fifth-term bid.

Naijaonpoint reports that in the viral video, Ganga, who has held the position for 16 years, burst into tears as he appealed to stakeholders from his constituency who are calling for new representation.

He said, “You know I am from a poor background, but I was able to do many things for you. I promise to give you better representation if given another chance.” 

According to Daily Trust, sources revealed that six aspirants have already purchased expression of interest and nomination forms to contest for the position.

However, Ganga’s viral video has sparked mixed reactions online.

Abubakar Hassan said, “You now know that you came from a poor background after disrespecting your leaders, you know the governor will not spare you.”

Comr Ismill wrote, “As if na only him want to enjoy the seat… Let him cry till he lost his sight!” 

Mu’azu Hassan said, “It’s not easy providing food for the family. No food for lazy man.”

Mubarak Faje wrote, “Na him family house abi Na his birth right ?”

Yusuf Mikail D’Fresh said, “If he did what’s right there’s no need shedding tears, he will win un-opposed”

Anas Hamza wrote, “Na him papa house ? Comot give road for a competent man jare”

Lawan Modu said, “Hon Ganga has impacted the lives of youth and women through empowerment and jobs creation. Shading tears is not a sign of weakness.”

Muhammad Abba Kura said, “You are shedding crocodile tears.”

Musa Yakubu Olagbaigbai wrote, “After 16 years… Abeg move on and let others breath..”
