The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has described Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, ex-National Chairman Umar Damagum and others as impostors who are no longer members of the party .

A statement by PDP’s National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, warned the public against interacting with those responsible for the National Convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The statement noted that they have been expelled from the party, hence can’t parade themselves as members of the PDP.

The statement listed those expelled to include Mohammed, Dauda Lawal, Seyi Makinde, Emmanuel Udom, Adolphus Wabara, Taofeek Arapaja Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, Ben N. Obi, Bode George, and Okechukwu Obiechina.

Others are Emmanuel Ogiad, Emmanuel Ebiden, Sumaita Adamu Bunza, Koshoedo Setonji, Suleiman Kadade Mohammed, Daniel Woyengikuro, Umar Iliya Damagun, and Umar Sani.

The statement said: “The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has noted with concern the embarrassing misrepresentation of Mohammed, Dauda Lawal, Seyi Makinde, Emmanuel Udom, Adolphus Wabara, Taofeek Arapaja
Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, Ben N. Obi,
Bode George, and Okechukwu Obiechina, Emmanuel Ogiad, Emmanuel Ebiden, Sumaita Adamu Bunza, Koshoedo Setonji, Suleiman Kadade Mohammed, Daniel Woyengikuro, Umar Iliya Damagun, and Umar Sani of falsely parading themselves as members of the PDP.

“The general public and PDP faithful should be aware that in accordance with the PDP constitution, 2017 as Amended, these individuals were duly expelled by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Party held on November 18, 2025 for various offences bordering on anti party activities and gross misconduct.

“The public and PDP faithfuls are therefore advised not to yield any support or accord recognition to any of these individuals falsely parading themselves as officers and members of the PDP. Anybody who does that, does so at his/her own peril.

“Again, the public should be aware that the peoples Democratic Party has not held her National Convention yet.”

Noting that the convention in Ibadan was a charade, the Wike faction said those behind it failed to respect court orders.

“The purported convention held in Ibadan was a charade and mere social gathering, which is not recognized by law, for its failure to adhere to validly delivered court judgements.

“Anybody parading himself as a newly elected national officer of the party is an imposter and a meddlesome interloper,” the statement added.
