The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has increased its ex-depot price of petrol to N850 per litre — a N30 rise from the previous gantry price of N820 per litre.
An increase in the ex-depot price means Nigerians and businesses will now pay more to access the commodity.
The National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, Abubakar Maigandi, disclosed the development in an interview on Friday.
This latest adjustment marks a ₦30 increase in the ex-depot price of petrol.
“The new ex-depot price of petrol at the refinery is ₦850 per litre,” Maigandi said.
He further confirmed that the plant has resumed petrol sales after suspending operations last week.
The increase means petroleum product marketers and retailers will now have to pay more to obtain petrol from the 650,000-barrel-per-day refinery.
Between last weekend and Monday, petroleum marketers, including the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, had raised their pump price to ₦955 per litre in Abuja before lowering it to ₦900.
Currently, other filling stations such as Ranoil, AA Rano, and Empire Energy are selling petrol at prices ranging between ₦950 and ₦955 per litre in Abuja.
