DC is shaking up its main universe Wonder Woman with a jaw-dropping redesign unlike anything fans have ever seen. Diana’s iconic tiara is gone, replaced by a full-face helm, along with dramatic changes to her armor that completely reinvent the Amazon warrior’s signature look.
DC’s latest crisis event, DC K.O., is in full swing, with Earth’s heroes and villains battling in a tournament-style deathmatch to prove themselves worthy of claiming the Heart of Apokolips and defeating King Omega Darkseid. While DC K.O. is just getting started, DC’s January solicitations have teased what fans can expect.
One standout teaser is a variant cover by Lucio Parrillo for DC K.O. #3, offering the first full look at Diana in her “Godkiller Armor,” which was previously teasedin DC K.O. #1. And to say the least, it is nothing short of badass, looking like something straight out of Mortal Kombat.
Wonder Woman Dons Her Most Armored Look Yet, Ahead of Killing Her Friends
Comic Panel Comes from Scott Snyder & Joshua Williamson’s DC K.O. #1 (2025) – Art by Xermánico & Javier Fernández
Parrillo’s variant cover showcases Wonder Woman in her Godkiller Armor, most notably transforming Diana’s signature tiara into a full-face golden helm. Her torso retains the classic red-and-gold color scheme, golden-eagle bustier, and gladiator skirt. At the same time, her legs and arms now feature additional armor that makes this one of her most heavily armored looks to date.
One of Diana’s iconic Bracelets of Submission remains, while her other arm is fully covered in segmented silver armor. Her legs sport plated greaves, marking a sharp departure from her typical, skin-baring look. The full-face helm is also a historic change and bold departure from any previous Wonder Woman design.
Along with the armor, Diana wields a silver cleaver-like weapon, thick and swept back like a wicked talon. While the armor and weapon are a major departure, it makes sense given the tournament’s high stakes, showing Diana prepared to enter a fight where death is the only thing promised to DC’s heroes.
Wonder Woman’s Godkiller Armor Is Her Chosen Bonus Item in the DC K.O. Tournament
Main Cover by Javier Fernández for DC K.O. #3 (2026)
Wonder Woman’s Godkiller Armor is also her chosen tournament item, as each hero is allowed one tool to gain an edge. Superman has donned mini-suns forged into brass knuckles to stay supercharged, while Diana has obviously brought her most formidable armor, emphasizing her readiness to kill her friends in a backwards attempt to save them all.
Whoever wins the tournament will gain god-like power and the ability to rewrite reality and raise the dead. It is with this in mind that DC’s heroes have been able to justify killing eachother.
It will be interesting to see what advantages the armor provides beyond physical protection. As its name implies, it likely grants a significant power boost. One thing is certain: with Wonder Woman confirmed as one of the final eight competitors, the armor is clearly working in her favor and giving her a serious edge.
DC K.O. #3 is available January 14, 2025, from DC Comics!
