Details of How Gospel Singer Timileyin Ajayi Beheaded Girlfriend in Nasarawa has emerged [Video]
On January 12, 2025, in Orozo, Nasarawa State, a man identified as Timileyin Ajayi was apprehended for allegedly beheading a woman named Eliojo Salome, a 24-year-old National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving in Abuja.
The incident unfolded near a church during a service. Suspicious of Ajayi’s movements, church members noticed him discarding a black nylon bag into a nearby river. Upon investigation, they discovered the bag contained a human head. Ajayi attempted to flee but was captured by the congregants and subsequently handed over to the police.
During police interrogation, Ajayi claimed that he and Salome had been in a relationship for about a year. He alleged that an argument ensued after he saw her communicating with another man on her phone, leading to a physical altercation in which he claimed to have acted in self-defense.
However, Salome’s family disputes this account, asserting that she was not in a relationship with Ajayi. They believe she was a victim of a random attack, possibly after entering the wrong commercial tricycle (Keke Napep), leading to her abduction and murder.
The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed Ajayi’s arrest and is conducting a thorough investigation into the incident. The tragic death of Salome has elicited widespread condemnation and calls for justice from the public.
