Sean “Diddy” Combs has turned down a plea deal ahead of his sex trafficking trial, as his legal team argues that the disgraced music mogul is not a criminal… they say he is just a “swinger.”
Rolling Stone reports that prosecutors asked Judge Arun Subramanian if he “could ‘allocute’ Combs on the plea agreement, essentially meaning, ask him in court and on the record if he understands the plea he was offered and rejected. Subramanian said he would address the plea at a hearing next Thursday, May 1.”
The exact details of the reported plea deal have not been released to the public.
Diddy’s federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial is set to begin on May 5, 2025, and the 55-year-old artist has pleaded not guilty to five criminal counts, including allegations of using his business empire to exploit women over two decades.
Diddy recently tried to have his trial delayed by two months, but a judge denied the request, stating there was sufficient time to prepare.
The Bad Boy boss currently remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, having been denied bail several times since his arrest in September 2024.
