Mark Geragos, a celebrity attorney who is the father of one of the attorneys who represented Sean “Diddy” Combs during his sex trafficking and racketeering trial, says that he believes Diddy would throw his support behind Donald Trump if he received a presidential pardon.

“You want to know the truth? I think yes,” he said on the 2 Angry Men podcast when asked about Diddy switching sides to support Trump. “Do you know why? I don’t know that it would be like a fealty oath or anything else.”

He continued, “There’s something about that fraternity of people who have been accused and have gone through the process that gives you an affinity. It would not surprise me to hear Sean say: ‘I now get it. I understand it. I was wrong then.’ I don’t know if I would say he’s pledging loyalty, but I think we would probably say: ‘I now get what he went through.’”

Mark Geragos is the father of Diddy’s attorney, Teny Geragos.

Trump has recently stated that people have contacted him on behalf of pardoning the disgraced music mogul, but admitted that it would be hard for him to do so, as Diddy has publicly trashed him in the past.

In 2017, Diddy told the Daily Beast that he did not “really give a f–k about Trump”. Fast forward to 2020, during an interview on The Breakfast Club, he stated that “white men like Trump need to be banished”.

Combs was convicted of transporting male sex workers and his former girlfriends for sexual encounters. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 3 and is facing up to 20 years in prison.
