Attorney for Sean “Diddy” Combs are now accusing prosecutors of editing the viral video of him beating his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura so that they could get him thrown in jail.
Attorney Alexandra Shapiro alleges U.S. attorneys “mischaracterized and concealed critical facts” during hearings.
The video was leaked online in May.
After the video went viral, Diddy posted a video to his Instagram account, apologizing for the assault.

“I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now,” he added. “I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to be a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
Diddy’s bail hearing takes place later today. It is his third attempt to be released frm jail.
