Sean “Diddy” Combs’ mother, Janice Smalls, has been sued by Kirk Burrowes, the former cofounder of Bad Boy Records, for allegedly stealing his stake in the record label.

In the lawsuit, Burrowes alleged that he forced him to sign over his shares of the company, threatening him with a baseball bat back in 1996. Diddy then allegedly gave his mother the 25% shares Burrowes previously owned.

Burrowes claimed the move left him homeless and that he experienced “prolonged periods of living in shelters across New York City” due to the “immense” financial hardship.

He says Diddy’s mother “engaged in a decades-long scheme of intimidation, violence, fraudulent misrepresentation, and financial concealment.”

Burrowes found it difficult to get back on his feet because he says “They blacklisted him from the music industry, blocked business opportunities, and destroyed his professional reputation, ensuring he would remain financially destitute and unable to reclaim what was rightfully his,” the document read.

Diddy has been behind bars since September after he was hit with federal charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Burrowes also claimed that during his time with Bad Boy, he witnessed Diddy being abusive towards his mother, Janice.
