Nollywood actress and producer Etinosa Idemudia has sent a message to filmmakers as she makes a case for comic actors.

Taking to the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X, she noted how some filmmakers only praise actors who know how to cry, calling them talented. She questioned if they knew how tough it was to make someone laugh.

Etinosa noted how every actor can cry but not every actor can be comic as she admonished filmsmakers to give comic actors their credit.

“Some Filmmakers, lol. It’s only when the actor is crying that the actor is deep. The actor is talented. Do you know how tough it is to make someone laugh? Do you know how deep that shit is? Every actor can cry, but not every actor can be comic. Give comic actors some credit df !”.

Last year, Kanayo Kanayo issued strong advice to filmmakers, where he made his observation about typical Nollywood settings. The actor urged filmmakers to desist from always making rich men dressed in the agbada or Senegal regalia. Rather, they should be costumed in more comfortable outfits.

He also noted how ladies are fully made up with heavy costumes when trying to depict a regular nighttime or cooking time.

In other news, Etinosa Idemudia had cried out over being owed by a BBN Naija graduate, who she thought was rich.

In a follow-up post, she revealed the BBNaija star’s identity as Pere and revealed that she had gotten the money and that the money was paid in full. Sending a message to Pere, she told him that she isn’t his mate in the industry as she gave him an advice.
