Drake and Adin Ross are facing new legal trouble tied to their promotion of online gambling.
A federal class action lawsuit filed Dec. 31, 2025, in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia accuses Drake, Adin Ross, Stake.us, and co-defendant George Nguyen of promoting an illegal gambling operation.
The complaint alleges the platform was also used to hide how money was routed to “artificially inflate play counts of his music across major platforms, such as Spotify.”
Plaintiffs LaShawnna Ridley and Tiffany Hines, described as U.S. based Stake.us users, claim promotions encouraged them to participate in unlawful gambling. The lawsuit seeks at least $5 million in damages and asks the court to “stop Stake.us from continuing to prey upon consumers, and to impose civil penalties on all Defendants to deter future misconduct.”
Plaintiffs allege that by “masking its real money gambling platform as a free and safe ‘social casino,’” the defendants created a “predatorial gambling environment.”
The lawsuit also claims Stake.us internal tipping and transfer features “effectively obscure the identities of counterparties,” making it difficult to track how money moved through the site.
This is not the first legal challenge for Drake and Ross related to Stake.us. Similar lawsuits were filed in Missouri and New Mexico in 2025.
