Dying Light: The Beast has already started to receive some of its promised post-launch content in the form of challenges with exclusive rewards, but its latest collaboration is the first of many major updates coming to the game. Having been announced earlier in October, the Dying Light: The Beast X PUBG Mobile limited crossover event has finally arrived in the game, offering a quest with plenty of new cosmetics and weapons.
Originally announced on the official Dying Light account on X, Dying Light: The Beast, the limited PUBG crossover event will only be available from now until November 21, with all the collected rewards persisting past the end of the event. Alongside the announcement, Dying Light: The Beast also got a new gameplay trailer showing off all the new content, which even includes PUBG‘s ever iconic frying pan weapon as an unlockable weapon blueprint.
Dying Light: The Beast X PUBG Adds Plenty Of New Content
As a part of Techland’s first official collaboration for Dying Light: The Beast, several new cosmetics have been added to the game that can only be completed by first signing up for the event on the official Dying Light website. After logging in and accepting the quest, you’ll instantly unlock the Aiddrop Finder car skin from your in-game stash and gain access to PUBG‘s ‘Skillet‘ crossover quest.
The Skillet quest will not appear until you’ve completed the Power Gambit main story quest.
After completing the Skiller quest, you’ll gain access to the rest of these limited-time PUBG-themed rewards, which include the Killing Pan, Battle Royale Bat, and Battleground Keychain as earnable items and blueprints. Alongside the weapons that deal more damage when hitting enemies in the head, you’ll also unlock the Marked Man outfit for Kyle Krane, which deals even more damage with headshots while earning additional XP.
Unfortunately, while the rewards from the event persist to help you take down all The Beast’s Chimeras and other deadly mutated threats, the skins on the weapons will be removed on January 15, 2026, after which they will be swapped for alternative skins.
Dying Light Is No Stranger To Creative Crossovers
Even if the wackier concept of taking down enemies with a Frying Pan themed after a completely different franchise feels somewhat at odds with Dying Light: The Beast‘s more grounded story approach, the franchise is no stranger to creative collaborations. From major zombie-killing franchises like Left 4 Dead to breakout titles like Balatro, Dying Light‘s collaboration events and crossover DLC are some of its most memorable content.
Thankfully, for players who want to keep their immersion or aren’t interested in having to complete additional quests like these, The Beast takes advantage of its predecessors by requiring you to toggle the event online before finding it in-game.
This is likely only the first of many collaborative events to come in the future, giving Techland the potential to go even crazier than before. With Dying Light: The Beast‘s plethora of new gameplay mechanics, like Krane’s beast powers and his greater access to vehicles, there’s no shortage of opportunities at hand.
