Death of Dylan Chretien – The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the scene of a fatal accident on Wednesday. Dylan Chretien, 19, of Bridgton, died following a car accident in Casco, Maine. Law enforcement said a second man identified as 20-year-old Nick Centofanti was transported to Maine Medical Center in critical condition. Hours after the accident, the 20-year-old’s parents announced that their son was brain dead and would therefore bid him farewell. “Sad to inform you that my son Nick Centofanti is brain dead, we say goodbye, my heart is broken, thank you for all your support.”
According to law enforcement, the incident happened while the two men were taking part in a drag race. Authorities responded to the scene around 7 a.m., north on Tenney Hill Road. According to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, one of the drivers’ men left the roadway and hit several trees. Chretien died at the scene. Centofanti was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The cause of the incident has not been immediately determined by investigators at the time of this publication.
