Edo Govt Seals $250 Million Investment Deal With EuroAfrica CCI

The Edo State Government, under the leadership of Governor Monday Okpebholo, has entered into a landmark partnership with the European African Chamber of Commerce and Industries (EuroAfrica CCI), a coalition of chambers of commerce representing 98 countries across Europe and Africa.

The agreement, worth $250 million, was signed at the 2025 Edo State Global Investment Summit held in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom.

Naijaonpoint understands that the pact provides a framework for strategic investments in Edo State, with EuroAfrica CCI committing to inject funds over a three to five-year period.

The investments will target agriculture and agro-processing, mining and solid minerals, technical education and skills training, renewable energy, and green infrastructure.

In a statement issued on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, Governor Monday Okpebholo, through the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, reiterated his administration’s dedication to creating an enabling environment for investors.

He said the state would sustain measures such as streamlined registration processes, transparent land administration, and, where applicable, tax incentives to boost investor confidence.

We will uphold transparency, accountability, and strong institutional support to ensure that these investments translate into jobs, opportunities, and sustainable development for Edo people,” the governor assured.

EuroAfrica CCI’s Director General, Amb. Dr. Kingsley Obasohan, said the chamber would align with Edo State’s and Nigeria’s local content policies.

He noted that the partnership would “directly empower Edo citizens by building capacity, creating employment, and expanding industrial value chains.

The agreement will initially run for five years, with provisions for regular joint reviews to track progress and ensure accountability on both sides.

Governor Okpebholo said the deal reaffirms his administration’s vision of positioning Edo as a premier investment destination in Nigeria while prioritizing inclusive growth and human capital development.
