Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State will today dissolve his cabinet ahead of his handover to Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo.
Naijaonpoint reports that Governor Obaseki’s second and last tenure would expire on 12 November.
A source told our correspondent that the Edo Governor will hold a valedictory session for his cabinet today.
On Obaseki’s plans to dissolve his cabinet today, the source said: “It is a normal thing… There will be a valedictory executive council meeting today.”
Naijaonpoint reports that Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC) had emerged winner of the Edo State Governorship election, defeating Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP).
