El-Rufai: If Popularity Is Measured By Suffering, Tinubu Must Be The Most “Loved” Leader In History – Atiku’s Aide

The Special Assistant to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, has rejected the claim by the presidency that former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, is hallucinating and needs help.

Shaibu, in a statement on Monday, said El-Rufai spoke the truth to power as Nigerians are battling hardship, hunger, and insecurity caused by the Bola Tinubu government.

Naijaonpoint recalls the presidency criticised the submission by former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, as a desperate act of a man threatened by the rising political profile of President Tinubu.

Presidential spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement on Sunday, submitted that El-Rufai is hallucinating and needs help.

Onanuga’s submission comes in direct response to the former Governor’s claim that President Tinubu may become president for life if Nigerians fail to unite and remove him in 2027.

However, Shaibu, in response, accused Tinubu of using a rented crowd for his recent visit to Kaduna State.

He added that if popularity is measured by suffering, then Tinubu must be the most “loved” leader in history.

Atiku’s aide also accused President Tinubu of undermining institutions and ignoring people’s pains due to his dangerous ambition to remain in power.

He insisted that El-Rufai needs no help as claimed by the presidency, insisting that it is the Tinubu government that needs help.

“So now, speaking the truth is “hallucination”? Interesting. If @elrufai needs counselling for saying what millions of Nigerians already know, then maybe the whole country needs to be admitted—because hardship, hunger, and insecurity are our daily reality.

“As for the so-called “grand reception” in Kaduna, only the gullible would confuse a rented crowd with genuine support. Nigerians cannot eat applause, and they cannot pay bills with staged cheers. If popularity is measured by suffering, then Tinubu must be the most “loved” leader in history.

“And on the “life presidency” issue, let’s not pretend. Leaders who keep undermining institutions and ignoring the people’s pain usually nurse such dangerous ambitions. To call it “absurd” is just another way of dodging the truth.

“If anyone needs professional help, it is those who think propaganda can replace performance. @elrufai doesn’t need therapy. The government does,” Shaibu wrote.
