R&B star Erykah Badu says that she has jumped on the Tesla hate train and destroyed her own Tesla amid all of the boycotts against Tesla co-founder Elon Musk.
“Just vandalized my own Tesla. Trying to stay on trend,” she wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
In the U.S., there have been at least 80 reported cases of vandalism or arson of Tesla vehicles in the U.S. and Canada since Musk’s Sieg Heil on January 20. At least 10 Tesla dealerships, charging stations, and facilities have been hit by vandals, many of whom have lit cars on fire.
Tesla owners have become embarrassed by the DOGE lead’s political views and have even tried selling their vehicles in protest of Musk. Tesla stock faced a major decline and lost billions, but it is seeing its first incline in weeks.

But now, the electric car company is in stiff competition.
BYD, Tesla’s number-one rival in China, reported $107 billion in revenue for 2024, beating Tesla’s annual revenue by about $10 billion.
