Nottingham Forest stars Taiwo Awoniyi and Ola Aina are set to have a third coach in charge of the club this season after Ange Postecoglou was fired, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Greek manager took over in the second week of September after Nuno Espirito Santo was relieved of his duties as club coach by the owner, Evangelos Marinakis.

The Portuguese manager revealed that a lack of trust by the club owner led to the deterioration of the relationship between them.

Since Ange took over at the City Ground, the two-time UEFA Champions League winners have played just two draws from eight games, losing games.

Prior to the Chelsea game, pressure had started mounting on the former Tottenham manager, and this was confirmed by one of the leading players at the club in Ryan Yates.

Mr Marinakis was in attendance for the game against Enzo Maresca’s side, as always. Josh Acheampong broke the deadlock four minutes into the second half after Forest had a decent first-half performance in which Taiwo Awoniyi had his first league appearance for the Reds this season.

Pedro Neto scored from a free kick shortly after, and the club owner headed out of the Stadium. Upon the final whistle, Postecoglou headed into the dressing room to address the Forest players before heading to the car park in the Stadium.

The former Australia head coach didn’t engage in ...-game press conference, as it was confirmed he was already sacked.

Nottingham Forest reach agreement with Sean Dyche

According to Sky Sports, Ola Aina’s side have reached a verbal agreement with former Everton and Burnley head coach Sean Dyche.

Late on Sunday night, talks progressed, with both sides eager to reach an agreement as soon as possible so Dyche can have time to get the club ready for Thursday’s Europa League encounter against Porto.

He may be confirmed in the position later today, but there are still some last-minute legal formalities to be worked out, and the paperwork has not yet been signed.

Should an agreement be reached, it’ll be a return home for the Kettering-born manager, as he started his football career with the Reds before hanging up his boots with Northampton Town in 2007.

Is Sean Dyche a good fit for Nottingham Forest?

The 54-year-old has coached Watford, Burnley and Everton in the past. He’s famously known for his compact defensive setup.

While that earned Nuno Espirito Santo success at the City Ground, Dyche has shown repeatedly that he doesn’t prefer the attacking approach shown by the Porto Manager. Instead, he prefers to go route one in his tactical approach.

On the positive side, a defensive approach might just be what the one-time Premier League winners need, as they’ve conceded 15 goals from eight league games this season, the second most in the English top-flight this term.
