Ex-Ikpeazu CPS Resigns From PDP

Former Chief Press Secretary to Dr Okezie Ikpeazu the Former Abia State Governor Onyebuchi Ememanka

The former Chief Press Secretary to Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, the former Abia State Governor, Onyebuchi Ememanka, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Announcing his exit on Thursday, he appreciated the Party for its service to him, but stated that he expected a lot of strategising after the loss in the 2023 general election; rather, he has watched a lot of people who rode on the back of the Party leave.

Ememanka, in a letter addressed to the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Amasato Ward 3, Obingwa Local government, wrote, “I wish to notify you officially of my resignation as a member of the People’s Democratic Party. This is effective immediately.

“I will always be grateful to the party and its members for the platform I was given and for the cooperation I enjoyed while I served our people.”

Ememanka, who had on Tuesday commended Governor Alex Otti on the reconstruction of Port Harcourt Road, said he is still consulting and has not made a decision on the political party to join.

He also cited that he was impressed with the work of the Deputy Speaker, Rt Hon Benjamin Kalu and so might pitch his tent there.
